As a parent myself, I completely sympathize. Kids rarely understand the dangers of smartphones and the amount of data they contain.

iPhone App Installation
Once you purchase the app you will need your child’s iCloud login ID and password. The login ID is usually their email address.
If 2-factor authentication is enabled on the phone you will also need a code to authorize access. This code will be sent to the phone.
Even if you can’t unlock their phone, you can still see the code when it arrives on the phone.
Once this is done all of the information from your child’s phone will be uploaded to a web-based control panel for you to view.
Monitoring Your Child’s Text Messages on Android
You can also monitor your kid’s text messages if they use an Android phone.
Android phones are more difficult to monitor because there is no way to access their information in the cloud.
Surveillance apps must be installed directly on Android devices. This means that you will need to have physical access to your child’s phone as well as the passcode to unlock it.

Installing a monitoring app on an Android device is quite easy. Once you’ve purchased your monitoring software of choice simply follow the detailed instructions to get it working.
You will need a few minutes of physical access to their device and the passcode to unlock it.
Once the phone is unlocked you will need to download the app onto the device.
Then you will need to follow vendor-specific steps to install the app and configure the security settings of the phone.
These security settings need to be changed so that the phone doesn’t identify the surveillance app as malware and delete it.
Reading Someone’s Text Messages
It’s up to you if you want to let your child know that you will be monitoring their text messages. Some parents decide to tell their children because they want to respect their child’s right to privacy. Others feel it’s better if their children don’t know.
