How to Read Someone’s Text Messages Without Installing Software

In this article you’ll learn how to read someone’s text messages without installing software on their cell phone.

There are two ways to spy on someone’s text messages without access to their mobile phone.

1. Intercept their text messages (iMessages only)
2. Read their text messages using a spy app (no software required on the target phone)

I’ll show you everything you need to know to get started.

These methods ONLY work on iPhones or iOS-based devices. Intercepting or reading text messages from Android phones requires installing an app.

A Free Method

There is a way to read someone’s text messages without their cell phone AND without installing software if the person uses an iPhone. This only works with iMessages.

All iOS devices require the user to have an Apple ID. This connects the phone to several services including iMessages. If you log in using someone else’s Apple ID you will receive a text message every time they do.

SMS text messages are sent through the phone’s specific carrier network. These messages cannot be intercepted without software (see the next section). Carrier’s like Verizon allow you to see SOME text data from devices on your plan, but not all.

Here is what you will need to spy on text messages:

1. the user’s Apple ID (their email address)
2. the user’s password
3. an iPhone or iOS device

Follow the steps below to receive messages from someone else’s iPhone. This will need to on YOUR iPhone or iOS device:

Step 1: Sign Out of Your Apple ID

1. Tap the “Settings” app.
2. Scroll to the bottom
3. Tap “Sign Out”
4. Enter your AppleID and password
5. Turn on any data that you want to keep a copy of on the device
6. Tap Sign Out
7. Tap “Sign Out” once more to confirm you want to sign out of iCloud

Step 2: Sign In With the Target User’s Apple ID

1. Tap the “Settings” app.
2. Tap “Sign Into Your iPhone”
3. Tap Email to enter the email address of the target user’s Apple ID.
4. Enter their password
5. Tap “Don’t Merge“. Merging causes the content on your iPhone to be uploaded to iCloud in the different Apple ID’s account.

Now every time the target mobile phone receives a text message, you will too.

Using Spy Apps (Without Installing Software)

To read text messages from another phone without installing software you will need a phone surveillance or spy app.

Other Methods

There are alternatives to reading someone’s texts using the methods listed above. One method is to hire someone to hack their smartphone. This can be done without physical access to the phone.

It is possible to hire a hacker to break into someone’s phone. The major downside to this is that the hacker now has access to everything on their phone too. This is not a great situation.

Alternative Spy Apps
